Meet Randy
I’m Randy Goetz—a licensed Oregon psilocybin facilitator, integration coach, geologist, river scientist, husband, father, musician, and lifelong student of what allows people and living systems to change.
For more than two decades, my professional work has focused on rivers, wetlands, coastlines, and other living systems that have been altered or diminished. That work has taught me something I now carry into everything I do: restoration rarely comes from imposing an ideal outcome. It begins by paying close attention, understanding what has been disrupted, and creating the conditions in which the Earth can begin moving more freely again.
I believe something similar is true for human lives.
A Truthful Relationship With Life
The central question beneath my work is simple:
How do we remain in truthful relationship with reality?
That does not mean resigning ourselves to whatever happens. It means learning to see clearly enough that our choices can arise from what is real rather than from fear, avoidance, inherited expectations, or the person we think we are supposed to be.
Sometimes that means making a change. Sometimes it means grieving what cannot be changed. Sometimes it means setting a boundary, accepting an invitation, recovering a forgotten part of ourselves, or learning to remain present where we once would have escaped.
Real transformation is not always dramatic. Often, it appears in the way we speak to someone we love, the way we inhabit our bodies, the choices we stop postponing, and the degree to which we participate in our own lives.
Psilocybin can create a powerful opening into this work. But the experience itself is not the whole work. What matters is how insight becomes relationship, choice, practice, and a more honest way of living.
An Invitation
If you are considering a legal psilocybin experience, looking for support integrating an experience you have already had, or wanting to explore what a more truthful and nourishing relationship with your life might look like, we can begin with a conversation.
There is no need to arrive with a polished intention or a commitment to move forward. We can talk about where you are, what you are seeking, and whether working together feels like the right fit.
Professional Grounding
I am an Oregon Licensed Psilocybin Facilitator and a graduate of the InnerTrek psilocybin facilitator training program. I provide preparation, facilitation, and integration within Oregon’s regulated psilocybin-services framework.
I am also a licensed geologist in Oregon and Washington, with more than twenty years of experience in environmental science, river systems, ecological restoration, and complex project work. That background has trained me to observe carefully, work responsibly with uncertainty, and respect processes that cannot be forced.
My experience also includes longstanding personal practice with meditation, breathwork, music, ceremony, and the intentional use and integration of altered states of consciousness.
These different parts of my life are not separate careers assembled into a method. They are different expressions of the same enduring interest: how living systems recover their vitality, reorganize after disruption, and become more fully themselves.

Finding My Way Back
There was a period in my life when, from the outside, everything appeared reasonably intact. I was working, raising a family, meeting my responsibilities, and doing what needed to be done.
But I was no longer fully present inside the life I had built.
There was no single collapse or dramatic crisis. Instead, there was a gradual loss of contact—with my own vitality, with wonder, with creativity, and with the deeper sense that my life belonged to me. I was functioning, but I was not entirely alive.
A profound experience with psilocybin interrupted that pattern. It did not fix me or deliver a final answer. It allowed me to see and feel what I had stopped allowing myself to see and feel. Beneath the exhaustion, frustration, and habits of self-protection, something essential was still there.
That experience became part of a much longer return—one that has included meditation, breathwork, music, time in nature, honest relationship, contemplative practice, and the difficult everyday work of living according to what I know to be true.
I continue that work now. I do not offer guidance from some perfected place on the other side of struggle. I offer it as someone who has learned to remain present—to listen, to question, to recognize when an old story is shaping the moment, and to return again and again to the life that is actually here.
How I Work
I do not believe that I have the answers to another person’s life. My role is not to tell you who you should become or what your experience should mean.
My role is to listen carefully, ask useful questions, help you prepare thoughtfully, and create a steady and intentional space in which you can encounter your own experience. During a psilocybin journey, I remain present without attempting to direct the process. Afterward, I help you explore what arose and consider how it might be carried into ordinary life.
My approach brings together scientific curiosity, contemplative practice, respect for the intelligence of the body, and an openness to mystery. I am comfortable with experiences that are psychological, emotional, spiritual, somatic, or difficult to name. I do not need to reduce them to a single explanation.
At the same time, I value discernment. Not every insight is an instruction, not every intense experience is a revelation, and meaningful change usually asks something of us after the extraordinary moment has passed.
This is why preparation and integration are central to my work. They help turn an isolated experience into a more enduring relationship with what has been seen.
Who I Work With
Many of the people who come to me are capable, responsible, and outwardly successful. They may have built careers, families, and lives that function well enough, yet feel that something essential has become distant.
Others arrive at a threshold: a loss, a transition, a period of uncertainty, a creative awakening, or the recognition that an old way of living is no longer sustainable.
You do not need to be broken to seek change. You do not need to know exactly what you are looking for. You may simply sense that there is something in your life asking for more honest attention.
